No hdmi cable only but it works well for 240 hz

How do the USB 3.0 ports work/ is there a connector we need to connect to out tower?

Yes, using a cable that comes with the box, you plug it from a USB 3.0 port in your computer into a special USB-in port on the monitor. Then all the ports work, and one monitor port even supports charging!

Can you install the drivers without a dell or Alienware computer?

Yes. My computer is a custom build, and is neither Dell nor Alienware. In fact, this monitor is the only part of my whole system that is either Dell or Alienware. I've been very happy with it.

Is there an option to turn freesync on and off?

If you have AMD GPU then yes, I havent used FreeSync on this display because i have an Nvidia GPU.

Yes. It will also fit on any other dealers monitor stands you have that are vesa compatible

Why?  Why pay $500 for a 24.5" 1920x1080 monitor? A fast refresh rate only goes so far. You could get 2 or 3 good gaming monitors for this price.

Once I saw the difference in 144hz vs 60hz, I needed to buy one immediately, I don"t know if 240hz is worth it, but saying refresh rate only goes so far I assume you mean that are eyes con only see a certain refresh rate, but trust me, high refresh rate is worth it.

What cords come with this? I only see HDMI, what about the PowerCord?

Question 9

According to the dell website, it looks like the Freesync version of this monitor does not support AlienFX. However, the title of this says otherwise. Can someone please clarify, does this model support AlienFX, despite being the Freesync version?

Only the Gsync version has AlienFX, while the Freesync version doesn't. Yeah, the title is misleading. I didn't notice anything remotely RGB about the monitor lol

240hz, seeing as only 120hz or greater is required for upgrading to 3d video, 240 should be well capable.
   So has anyone tried this, and can anyone comment on what model 3d display upgrade devices they've tried it with, and what they thought about it? or a quick little review?

Just connect it to a GPU with the latest drivers installed, works fine for me!
