Is this LED or LCD?

LED backlit LCD display is a flat panel display which uses LED backlighting instead of the cold cathode fluorescent so it is LCD screen but back light is LED

Does this monitor (Dell E2414H) have any anti-glare coating?  If yes, does it seem 'too much' or closer to 'just right?'  How glossy does the screen appear: 'high' 'a little bit' or 'none at all?'  How wide is the bezel?  And, is the bezel glossy or matte?  Thank you!

There is no gloss at all to the screen. A satin sheen at most, if you want to call it that. The bezel is matte (finely textured surface.) It is about 3/4" in width (i.e. from edge of actual screen surface to the outer edge of the bezel.)

Does it have built in speakers?

No - better off with an external set anyway that has good response including a bass unit - most of the internal monitor speakers (including my TV's) are crap.

Does the monitor connect to the computer with a USB cord?

no the monitor only connects with a DVI cable or a VGA cable. if you could find a adapter or something like that it might work but im not sure about that.

Can you mount this vertically on the included stand?

It looks like horizontal only to me. Not seeing any way to go vertical with the included stand. The monitor has a 100x100 VESA mount so maybe could with a more versatile stand.

It tilts to adjust the viewing angle but that's all. Height is not adjustable.

I really like this monitor. Best we've had in our office. Bright and crisp with nice color. So bright I had to adjust it down to 35%. Nice thin bezel. Viewing angle is my only complaint but I sit squarely in front of it so not usually an issue for me.

This is a great monitor, but it doesn't have speakers. I use external speakers for my computer that uses this monitor.

Is this the right monitor for Hi Res Graphics designing?

The E series is Dell's affordable monitor range, they are more than usable but certainly not the best which they make, such as their U series (aka UltraSharp) or P series (aka Professional). I use the ST2402L on my main desktop and very happy with them but I have most of my clients using the standard E series without any issues though most don't do Hi Res Graphics, so many the U Series is better for you?
