Yes, it has a wired lan, as well as the built in wireless. The computer is very quiet also, I set it up for my Dad. You can barely hear it running. I set it up for my Dad, with TWC Cable internet at 30Mbps speed, it zips along pretty well.

The processor is a Core i5-4440. The first digit in the 4440 indicates generation, in this cast 4th gen.

I'm not sure. I would guess it is around a 300 watt power supply. I bought this system for a customer. Generally speaking most pc's on this category do not have very good power supplies.

Windows 8 and 8.1 have an integrated antivirus product (Windows Defender). However, you would be better served with a third-party program. Free ones like Avast, Avira, or AVG will give you better protection.
