A computer with a 8 core chip that is meant for multi tasking with only 8 Gigs of RAM seems senseless doesn't it? I would have bought this if it had at least 16 Gigs RAM in it. 32 GB would have been great. Silly marketing.

A wired USB mouse and wired USB keyboard are included.  The motherboard also has ports for PS/2 devices.

What kind of SSD drive is compatible with this system? Whats the best RAM for this system?

Accepted Answer

You can use a 2.5" SATA III SSD, M.2 SSD or a M.2 NVMe SSD (the NVMe has the highest transfer rate). Any of those will speed the system up though (as far as boot times and HD access).
As far as RAM, DDR4 2400 is what came in it, I've been looking at the G.Skill Ripjaws X series (it seems to have very good specs).

Yes, I ran the VRmark Orange Room benchmark on it (after updates) and received a 5836, VR ready is 5000.

How many expansion slots, and what type?

Memory:
There is 1 open memory slot, the other has the 8 gig stick in it.

PCI:
There are 2 full size pci slots, (one has the existing rx 570 in it) and there are 2 short pci slots.  one of the short pci slots is covered by the rx 570.

I added a second RX 570, and a new power supply.

Drives:
There is space to add an SSD, and a second hard drive at the bottom front of the case.  One existing 3.5 inch hard drive (the 1tb) is there.

There is a full size slot at the top below the DVD drive that could fit a classic full size cd/dvd drive (or of course be used for some smaller drive.
