I dont understand whether this computer comes with windows 7 or 8?

Mine came with Windows 7.  I don't like Windows 8 and would not have purchased it if it had Windows 8 installed on it.  I am quite pleased with this computer and would buy again, providing I got another Windows 7 model.

Yes and there is no need to add a video card.

Is it possible to get a RAM upgrade to either 8 or 16 gig?

The OptiPlex 3020 small form factor does support up to 16GB of memory, however, there are only two slots so it would need to be two 8GB DIMMS.  The system takes 1600MHz DDR3 Synch DRAM Non-ECC Memory (also known as PC3-12800 memory)  It is also recommended that the two DIMMS be identical if possible.

I understand Win 7 comes installed and you get win 8 disk.   What version of Win 7 is installed and what version of Win 8 disk?  Is this a Dell Win 8 recovery disk?  I'm wondering if its just a pure Microsoft Win 8 disk where I can leave win 7 on this computer and use this disk to upgrade another computer.

Windows 7 Professional comes pre-installed and it comes with a Windows 8 Professional recovery disc that is Dell specific. It is possible you could use this disc to install on another computer.

This unit has a single 10/100/1000 Ethernet Port built into the main board.  You could easily add one internally on externally using a USB adapter.

The product description says it has 500 GB hard drive and 8 USB ports.

are these dual monitor compatible?

It does not come ready for dual monitors.  However what I did was purchased the Startech USB2VGAE2 adapter which made it capable of having dual monitors.  Hope this helps.

Do you have a wireless internet card feature in this model? If not, is there any way to install one internally?
