Is the i7 going to be much better than the i5? Will I really notice a difference?

I have two ASUS laptops and find that the i7 is twice as fast in downloading and installing software, as well as applying all of the patches we need to keep things safe.  It really makes a difference and I would highly recommend an i7 over an i5 if you can afford the extra money.  I find it definitely worth it.

It does have a parallel port 
It does NOT have a PS2 mouse or keyboard (They are USB & the mouse needs replaced)
The machine performs at  2.8 (Microsoft Bench Mark) Not Great but not bad. For an Office/Student machine it does well.

Yes, Dell uses a standard architecture.  So, the case will accept ATX power supplies, and the motherboard uses standard connectors.  There is room for additional drives.
