Is the Windows 7 32- or 64-bit?

The computer was bought for my mother who lives on the east coast.  She said everything worked fine and she followed the on screen directions but her windows would not activate.

She told me that she spent quite some time on a call to India who finally told her to contact Microsoft.

After talking to Microsoft the code that was delivered with the computer was for Vista not Win7.  She was given a new code over the phone from Microsoft for WIN7 and her choice of 64 or 32. She chose 32bit but just as easily could have picked 64bit.

To date the computer has been working just fine.

I hope this is 64 bit system otherwise I will sent it back?

It is but the windows installed id the 32 bit. Mine came with the windows 7 64bit to upgrade. The machine also came with slight cosmetic directs. It also had a 300g hard drive and a tv tuner. I guess they we're put in by the previous owner.

Is the hard drive sata?

Yes, I believe it is a Hitachi Deskstar SATA harddrive

Can this computer be bought with an upgrade to windows 8.1 operating system?

I don't think so. I bought it because I needed 4 Win7 Pro 32 systems for a customer. You could update yourself, but the RAM and HDD are a little weak for Win 8.1

I don't see any info about communications. Is there wifi, modem ,
or what??

I bought this for my mother who lives in a different state. I haven't seen this computer in person but from the picture it looks like the LAN port is part of the motherboard.  If you want wireless then you will probably have to buy a wireless USB adapter. They are very inexpensive and cost less than $20.

The only issue she had was getting widows to activate properly.  The code on the sticker was for a VISTA activation.  She called MS and got the correct code for WIN7 and then activated with no problem.
