Pros: Its an i7 with 8gb memory, Memory slots are available. Metal case

Cons: Hugh and I mean huge power supply. (5x normal size and weight). Very heavy. Laptop without power supply is also very heavy. Together you need a fork lift. Battery lasts less than 1 hour (like realistically 30-45 minutes). I believe it is a 6 cell.

Overall Review: Tried to reach Joy (refurbishers) through technical support line to ask for a replacement battery but they always have a long wait (20 customers holding). They close at 5p EST called today got placed on hold at 4.30pm with 21 customers in the queue. At 5:15p the recording said "goodbye" and hung up. I will try newegg support next.

Pros: Works well, fast and is a beast for the price

Cons: Mine came all banged up, the logo looks almost rusty and has a scratches and odd looking marks in the coloration

Pros: I have been using this laptop for several months now and I am quite satisfied with its performance. It looks good and does everything I want it to do. I am not a techie so cannot tell you a lot about specifications. I will just say that the unit arrived looking like new and performing just as i expected. I would buy another one if I needed it.

Cons: This unit is fairly heavy so doesn't travel well.

Pros: Lots of bang for the buck. I bought this on offer at $619.99 and for an i7 processor with 8Gb RAM, that is a pretty good price.

The RAM configuration is 4 slots with only two occupied (2x4Gb) so upgrade potential is excellent.

Port replicators / docking stations are cheap.

Cons: Although the title says 'Refurbished', that appears to mean that it got wiped with a damp rag and a new copy of Windows installed. I immediately put Windows 8.1 on this laptop and I couldn't figure out why a powerful processor was causing the fans to run all the time while doing it. Turns out that the fans and heatsinks were full of dust so not cooling properly.

It comes with a fingerprint reader which is a bonus but getting it to work is so problematic that the majority of info on Google is to simply abandon the idea and use the password.

There is/was an issue with signing the firmware updates on Dell machines and it transpires that many Dell computers are stuck at A08 BIOS without a replacement motherboard. It's irritating rather than problematic.

Then there is Newegg customer service...

Overall Review: Overall, I'm happy with the laptop and would still buy it at the sale price. I think at full price, there are similar options that are maybe a better choice.

I'm not allowed to criticize Newegg service here so that's all I have to say about that.
