What square footage will this unit cover? Also is it loud, ie can it be near by and have a normal conversation and be able to hear ok?

We currently use it in about a 330 Sq foot room. It's in the bedroom and we will run it all night during the summer. There has been a few times where we'll throw a blanket on after a couple hours of it being on. It does have some sound to it. My wife and I can hold a normal conversation just fine and we can fall asleep with it on, but we also have a TV in there and we do have to turn it up louder than we would to hear it. It's not the quietest AC unit that I've ever heard. If I were to compare it to something else, I would probably compare it to a dishwasher or a dryer. I hope that this helps a little, for you.
