can this be used on a asus maximus vi hero board? I see there is 3 fan case ports on the board can I put 3 on?

Hi Todd,

No, it will not work.  Your CPU fan connector has a maximum 1 amp (12W) ability. These fans list a current of 2.45 amps continuous ~30W. I could not find data on the other fan connectors of your board, but they should be inline with the CPU fan connector.

How would this fan be to put on a radiator?

I run two of these in air-cooled rackmount systems.

In terms of CFM, this fan will do fine on a radiator. It will certainly flow more than enough air. I would suggest including some form of fan speed control as this fan is very loud at default speed and pushes a ridiculous amount of air.

If you're using a water-cooled system for the purpose of running quietly, you might want to look for a fan that's slower by design. But if it's for overclocking, this would be a good one.

How much does this fan weight?

I did not measure it's weight, but while I was installing it the fan felt about the same as the "normal" 120mm fan I replaced.  The Delta moves a LOT of air - and is LOUD at full speed - so make sure you are ready for that with some sort of speed controller. I am very happy with the performance of this fan.

Question 4

I'm trying to get 4 of these connected to my motherboard using a fan adapter, however my mobo won't detect it to be able to get the speed adjusted. Will I need a separate fan controller?

I use the Recon fan controller from Bitfenix; controls up to 5 fans and the Phoebetria Freeware software to control the fan speeds. It also has 5 temp probes. Someone had mentioned the high draw blowing out most fan controllers

i use a scythe KAZE-Q fan controller which is basically a front panel with 4 rheostat knobs and a molex connector . its rated at 1 amp but than again its analog not digital so i am not sure if the fan will blow it out or if it will simply run slower?

These are 30w, 2+ amps.  No KAZE-Q.  Hope you don't have your computer in the same room:)  They're loud and powerful enough to take off before you screw them down.  Vacuum cleaner loud.

If I read this correctly, this fan uses a molex cable to connect to your power supply and the 3 pin plug is just to connect to your fan controller to control the rpms? And if that's correct then a fan controller with 6w max power per line will control it ok without damaging the controller?

You won't damage the controller, but the the fan won't spin.  It's a 30w fan.  I have a 30w controller and you'll need at least 20w just to initially get the the thing spinning.  Then you may reduce to 15w (maybe.)  No way 6w will work.

can i use these on my h100i? if not can someone suggest a high cfm fan that i can?

Yes, you can mount it on the Corsair H100i though you will need to buy longer screws as this fan is thicker than most.

Please note that these fans are LOUD I have two of these mounted as case fans. (one blowing onto the RAM VRAM and northbridge and the other blowing air in from the back) and I rarely need to turn them on, but when I do, the static pressure drops the temperature of the MOBO by about 20°C to the mid twenties to thirties and CPU temps (via the Corsair H100 cooler into the single digits with 21°C ambient air)

The reason I mounted these as case fans was to because I've tested them on longer screws attached to my H100, and used a Fluke TIR camera with dental floss strung throughout my case to see where the warmer air was getting trapped, and having these mounted as case fans with vents covered with duct tape achieved the best cooling possible.

The specs say it comes with 3 bare wires, optional 4+3 pin. Does it come with the 4 pin Molex connector or do I need to order this separately?
