Dark Scrolls is a downloadable Steam game for PC, developed by doinksoft and published by Devolver Digital; it suits players looking for a fantasy-themed action platformer with challenging stages and secrets.

    Recommended For

    • Players looking for arcade-style action in short runs: Dark Scrolls combines auto-scrolling side-scrolling combat, platforming, and shmup-like projectile chaos.
    • Retro-action fans who enjoy learning through play may appreciate its old-school presentation, fast start, secrets, and character variety; the game offers little tutorial guidance.
    • Roguelite players who are happy to replay runs to unlock characters and discover routes may enjoy its repeat-run structure, secrets, and gradual progression.
    • Pairs who want to try a chaotic action game together can play local or online co-op, though reviews differ on how well the co-op experience is balanced.
