No, the dial alters the impact or depth of the engraver. The higher the chosen number of the dial, the greater the impact or depth.
What accessories will work with the Dremel 290?
The Dremel 290 Engraver will work with two engraving tips/accessories - 9924 a carbide steel tip and 9929 a diamond replacement tip.
What’s the difference in the materials the two different engraving tips can work in?
Under most conditions the 9924 carbide steel tip will perform very satisfactorily on glass, steel, ceramics and other hard-materials. For continuous operation on these materials the 9929 diamond point tip is recommended.
