This power supply will fit an ATX motherboard main connector that has 20 OR 24 Pins. and the 4pin/8pin connector separates to allow
connection for the CPU on a board that has 4 pin or dual 4 pin connections.

power supplys go for any computer long as you don't try to stick a big supply into a mini case

First, what is COA? If you are going to use acronyms and want answers it's best to be clear :0).   Second, you might want to read my review on this unit from about a year ago. I had two in a row test out as bad, so I ordered a quality unit and paid a bit more. I suspect this is a small startup company in China and you are getting the result. I am ready to be understanding with one bad unit, it happens. But...two in a row?? Just my thought...
By the way, Newegg was amazing with their customer service; they sent me two (2) prepaid shipping labels to send back both units to them. Everybody lost on this deal. There aren't many companies that have this kind of stellar backup for their customer.

I have a da series psda450w that started making noise and the computer won't boot.  Will replacing with a 400x solve my problems?

you may be hearing the fan wire being scraped by the fan of the psu da series psu's have had that issue for me as for not booting the voltages seem to drop out after using these psu's for a long time you should get a different brand if you can
