Pros: Though an initial review, I felt the need to review this. First off, let me start by saying that Windows 7 is fantastic for this computer. Though I prefer XP and have a comp with 7 already anyway, I would go with 7 before Vista by a long shot. The size is perfect for a mix of mobility and keyboard size. I being a relatively large person, I cannot deal with netbook keyboards because of the key size. This is perfect, it's keyboard keys are about the size of a normal keyboard I use with my desktops. It is amazing at multi-tasking. It is not a 3 GHz Athlon 64 x2 like my desktop by a long shot, but it can still stand up to it on the battlefield of multi-tasking. The multi-gesture controls on the touchpad are intuitive and easy to remember. The screen is brilliant, sharp and has very good contrast for this price-point. Webcam works with all programs with video chat support (or at least all of mine). Overall, the best netbook competitor out there by a couple thousand miles
Cons: For 600 dollars, it is a bit steep for the amount of power you get. A 1.3 GHz Dual-core is fine as far as speed goes for anything but games. However, I want to mention that what you're really paying for with this notebook is the size, battery life and light-program multi-tasking power (word, browsing, chat, videos, etc.). I didn't buy this expecting to play games to be honest, but I did hope it could play some basic stuff. It can play mid-range graphical games (i.e. Battlefront II), but obviously nothing high-end (i.e. Borderlands). USB ports seem to have an interesting contact problem in which I have to wiggle items in the port in order to make them show up on Windows 7. It is very strange and seems to be happening on all ports with all of my USB items. Not a big deal though and isn't worth messing around with just yet.
Overall Review: The battery life is very, very good. If you are using wireless and surfing the web on power save settings and lowest brightness on the screen, you can get about 12 hours. On performance mode playing Battlefront II, I got 5 hours. That in all honesty is exceptional battery life. No laptop I have seen in my life can do that. If I am stuck without an outlet anywhere in life, this is probably the laptop you want for that moment. The programs that it comes with sort of suck. Fortunately they are all easily removed. Took me about an hour to clean off all the stuff and put what I needed on it (this includes firefox, daemon tools lite, office 2010 beta, skype, speedfan, and python 2.6). In conclusion, I can say that this is exactly what any working man or student needs. It's size is great for moving about, the battery life is exceptional, and the multi-tasking ability is amazing. Definitely don't regret not buying a full size notebook in the 400-600 dollar price range.
