I have a mac pro, mfg early 2008, and I was wondering if this outputs dolby dts or pro logic.or is it just simulated? Because some cards dont support thx, dts or dolby prologic. I have looked at many cards and the more I look the more frustrated i get. any info will help, also driver software for mac is it included?

This is an outstanding basic audio card. I use the optical s/pdif I/O for Dolby digital signal [pcm] through a nearly vintage Pioneer receiver with great results.Diamond MM and C-Media have all the specs and s/ware downloads available for Mac and PC.The specs indicate Dolby Digital,not THX or Pro-Logic.And that is through S/pdif only.
