Can you fly the drone without the phone?? Or is it apart of the system navigation?

You can fly the mavic without a phone connected but you you will loose the ability for first person view (fpv)  and other tracking options. It is intended for use with a phone to avoid losing significant functionality

Dose this come with the controller? & will it work with a s7 edge?

Yes, it comes with a controller that you hook your phone into. If you can download the "DJI Go"  app on your phone, it will work. I am using a S5. If you are new to drones, like me, keep the gimbal cover on until you get used to flying. That will help to protect the camera.

You can buy a drone without the remote control for around $750. The controller is well worth the extra $250.

This item says it's in stock. So does it mean it's In stock or is it still preorder?

I had the same question, so I contacted Newegg...they said to contact DJI.  The number Newegg provided for DJI did not work, so I contacted them via their online chat.  All they would tell me is that they "can not comment on anything other than orders placed on DJI.COM" and they "don't work for Newegg"...seriously.

So I dug up another number for them and tried calling again.

Their automated answering thing just says to email them at the onlinesales at dji address listed on their contact page.

No one will say anything.  This is pretty shady.  I was || this close to ordering one on here but now, I'm not going to.

Newegg needs to address this.

Question 4

Does this come with a case of some sort? Also, how long does it take for the battery to charge?

Case is a separate purchase.  Battery charging depends on the amount of use for used power.  On average if almost 15% left about 30 minutes

In the description pic there are drone, remote, 6 props, memory card and smthng looks like charger. But there is no info about "what in the box". So, what is in the box for $999?

Drone with props, gimbal cover, gimbal lock, gimbal cover silicone sleeve, 1 x battery, RC controller, micro usb and firewire connector cables for different smartphones, charger, charger power cable, micro usb charging cable to drone, 1 x pair of spare props.

If you buy this, keep in mind that you STRICTLY have 48 hours from time of activation to purchase the DJI Care protection coverage.
