Is this monitor compatible with Windows 7?

I am using this monitor on a Windows 7 PC and everything seems to work just fine.  I've had it working on my computer since January.   The only issue for me is that I use the small monitor as a way of looking at weather,  time, and system status as I play full screen games on my main monitor.   Windows 7 doesn't have great support for widgets so it took some searching to find the right apps to go on the small monitor.

Is the stand removable?

On the one I bought (about 1.5 years ago), the stand was detatchable...  Looks like the same one, so I would assUme this one is as well.  No promises though, obviously!  ;-)

Question 3

I was looking into buying this for troubleshooting purposes. Is it supported across most common OS versions? I'm wanting it to be used for PCs and such that either have a no monitor or a bad monitor so I could still work on the device.

I'm currently using it with the most recent version of Windows 10.  I haven't had any issues at all with it save for when the Anniversary edition first came out and I had to reinstall its drivers, but since then, smooth sailing.

Question 4

When plugged in to the USB ports, does it automatically power on when the PC is turned on or do you manually have to press the power button each time? I ask because I'm considering using it as an internal case monitor for Afterburner temperatures and such, but if I have to open the case to turn the monitor on each time I power cycle then it kinda eliminates the convenience.

Short answer, yes it will turn off when the USB power is off. I plugged mine into a powered USB hub that was directly plugged into the wall. The power usage was minimal and it 'came on' whenever the PC was turned on.

Question 5

Is this Windows 10 compatable yet? Also does it show up as an extra monitor in either the graphics card management software or in Windows display settings? I ask because I would like to use it in portrait mode and I wonder if it just auto flips once your rotate it or do you have to select portait mode for it to work in Windows?

I've been using it with nearly no issues in Windows 10 Anniversary.  It does show up in windows monitor management, but not my nvidia control panel.  I haven't tried to flip it to portrait mode as I'm using it as a reference window for an ultra-wide monitor.  The only issue I've faced is that it tends to become the primary monitor after a graphics driver upgrade, but turning it off and on fixes it.

Is this mac compatible?

I was able to get this to work on my macbook pro but I had to track down the latest drivers on the manufacturer website.

Question 7

Has anyone used this product with a Linux distro (Ubuntu, RHEL, etc)?  Any setup issues encountered?

I use Ubuntu as my secondary OS, no issues here.

How much can this monitor be adjusted up and down - directly up and down - not tilted in and out. How wide in inches is it?  Thanks.
