Can this be used for temporary visitor I.D. badges? Will it stick well enough to clothing?

It probably depends on the brand of label you get, but we use this printer and our stickers stick very well to clothing!  We use them for our Kids Ministry name tags at our church, and the kids always leave with them!

Would these labels stick to glass bottles?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  They stick to just about anything that is clean of oil from your hands, dusty items, etc.  Just make sure the surface is clean.  The only drawback I have found is that these ARE thermal labels and after a couple of years, the tend to fade somewhat.  But they do stay stuck to whatever you want them to be stuck to.  If you place them in direct sunlight, the lettering will fade out faster.  Hope this helps.

Is this version Windows 10 compatible?

Yes - Drivers for all operating systems are available on the Dymo web site.  I have several 450's on Windows 10 computers, works great.

does it come with software??

i've ordered at least 5 units and all came with installation cd.  but the drivers and software updates are all free and available on dymo website.

Is there only one specific type of label brand/ make you can use with this printer or can it also print on different materials, for ex; clear plastic labels?

we use the dymo labels to print in this printer , Never tried plastic, unless the plastic is thin and on a roll, I dont think it will work. buy the labels with the sticky side on the back.

Can you print 4x6 shipping labels with this printer? Couldn't find specs on size of labels that were compatible.

Only the Dymo 4XL will print that size

Using with windows & dnld'd for dymo site without problems.  Expect same for mac?

Do you need separate labels for the postage?  Does it come with software for the postage and how do you make sure it is upgraded with today's prices?

Stamps dot com requires you to order and use their own proprietary Net Stamps blanks.  Basically every other service I've ever heard of does the same as well, including Dymo's own recommended service.  Dymo's is more expensive by the way so my company went with Stamps dot com.

Does this print barcodes?

I bought mine specifically for that purpose. It can print barcodes if you make them. I don't know if the software that comes with it helps you do that or not.

does this  come with ink?

It comes ready to use. I don't think there is ink associated with this machine. I had a similar label writer for 12 years and it never quit printing perfectly with just replacing the labels and updating the drivers as needed.
