It prints in black and white any size up to 4 '' by 6 "    ....it's not really for complex images tho. Works really well for me

This Dymo printer accepts a standard 4" x 6" self adhesive shipping label on a roll.  Use a 220 labels per roll label for best results.

No, USB devices require a host computer / device to connect to. In the case of a USB printer, this is either a computer, or a USB print server that supports the printer. In the case for the Dymo 4XL, you would want the Dymo LabelWriter® Print Server (MFG#: 1750630, NewEgg#: 9SIA0SX1P21886)

Hi - Mac user, looking to print 4 x 6 Shipping Labels. I understand the printer needs to be connected via USB, what I don't understand is: If I connect the printer to a MAC desktop, will I be able to send print to it from a MAC laptop on the same network, or via a web service?

Once you have the Dymo printer setup on your mac desktop, you can enable printer sharing via your mac desktops System Preferences application. From System Preferences you access the "Sharing" tab, and then you will need to check "Printer Sharing" and specifically check the Dymo Printer.

Well yes but it is best to use the Dymo labels they cost about the same, plus I found that there is ZERO wast with Dymo labels unlike with UPS brands
