Can this go on a AM3+?

I have heard of people being able to fit AM3 coolers onto AM3+ Sockets. The layouts seem to be very similar and the cooler mounting is identical but i don't have any exact measurements. That being said the manufacturer states that it is for AM2, AM2+ and AM3. NOT AM3+

will this fit a msi 760gm-p34 (fx)?

Yes, that board is AM3+ socket. We used it on another board with this socket type. It is meant to be used with a 1 U server chassis. We are using it on a 95w CPU in a datacenter and it seems to cool just fine in that environment.
