Pros: This device will move a lot of air and cool things down a lot. We have only run it for a few hours, but it seems very solid and reliable.
Cons: This cooler sounds like an aircraft engine starting up (53dB), very noisy. It pulls 1.6A at 12V and creates a lot of electrical noise (2.1V spikes at 12V).
Overall Review: We were planning on using this on a piece of test equipment, but the electrical noise was just to much for the extremely sensitive circuits to handle. This is a good solid product if you need it and can put up with the noise. The electrical noise did not affect the PC.
Pros: Move a lot of air.
Relatively quite.
Very inexpensive.
Small...great if you are strapped for room.
Cons: None that I have found so far.
Overall Review: I was skeptical that these inexpensive, low profile coolers would do the job for my dual-Xeon (2x6-core) Xen server. They move a surprising amount of air and are keeping my over-worked Xeons nice and cool.
