Dyson V8 Absolute Cordless Vacuum | Certified Refurbished | YellowThe Dyson V8 Absolute has 150% more brush bar power than the Dyson V6 Cord-free vacuum. Two cleaner heads. Extra tools and whole machine HEPA filtration. Cord-free. Hassle-free. The most powerful suction. Up to 40 minutes of powerful suction. Trigger releases instantly. Battery power is only used for cleaning. Whole machine HEPA filtration captures allergens and expels cleaner air than the air you breathe. Powered by the Dyson digital motor V8, it creates the most powerful cordless vacuum. The Direct-drive cleaner head drives bristles deeper into the carpet to remove even more dirt.
It has 150% more brush bar power than the Dyson V6 Cord-free vacuum. Invented for hard floors. The soft roller cleaner head removes large debris and fine dust simultaneously. Hygienic dirt ejector empties dust from the bin in a single action. Mini motorized tool for tough tasks. Stiff nylon bristles remove pet hair and ground-in dirt from furniture, car seats and tight spaces. 2 Tier Radial cyclones 15 cyclones, arranged across two tiers, work in parallel to increase airflow and capture more fine dust. Max power mode provides 7 minutes of higher suction for more difficult tasks.
Mini soft dusting brush for gentle dusting around the home. Balanced for cleaning up top, down below and in between. All Dyson cordless vacuums quickly convert to a handheld for quick clean ups, spot cleaning and cleaning difficult places. 6 Month Dyson Official Warranty.

Crevice tool: Engineered for precise cleaning around tricky edges and into hard-to-reach narrow spaces.

The Dyson V8 Absolute is a cordless stick vacuum for homes with both hard floors and carpets, with Direct-drive and Soft roller cleaner heads, up to 40 minutes of suction, and whole-machine HEPA filtration. Its handheld conversion also suits quick cleanups and above-floor tasks.
Recommended For
- Apartment and small-home residents who want a cordless vacuum for regular floor cleanups, with a handheld mode for furniture, stairs, and other above-floor spots.
- Households with both hard floors and carpet that are willing to switch heads: the Absolute’s soft roller is intended for hard floors, while its Direct-drive head is for carpet.
- Pet owners who need to pick up routine pet hair from low-pile carpet and furniture, rather than clean large areas in one session.
- People who often clean stairs, car interiors, or upholstery and value converting a stick vacuum into a handheld for those targeted jobs.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- In a home with both hard floors and carpets, switch between the soft roller and direct-drive cleaner heads to pick up everyday floor debris without using one head for every surface.
- For crumbs and dust on hardwood or other hard floors, use the soft roller head; testing found it well suited to hard-floor pickup, including fine debris.
- When pet hair collects on carpet or rugs, use the direct-drive cleaner head for routine pickup; reviewers found the V8 effective at removing pet hair from carpet.
- For quick room-to-room maintenance in a smaller home, grab the cordless vacuum for scattered crumbs or dust rather than getting out a full-size vacuum; community users describe this as a practical use, while longer sessions can be limited by battery runtime.
- For stairs or high-up areas, detach the wand and use the vacuum as a handheld; its cordless format makes it easier to move between steps and reach above-floor surfaces.
