LOADING...

The Dyson AM09 Hot + Cool Fan Heater is a bladeless heater and fan for people who want adjustable room heating and smooth airflow from one appliance, with oscillation to direct air around the room.

Recommended For

  • People who want one floor-standing appliance for seasonal use: the AM09 combines thermostatic room heating with fan-only airflow for warmer weather.
  • People heating a bedroom, home office, or other single room who want to switch between a directed personal stream and wider room airflow.
  • People who want remote temperature adjustment and a timer—for example, warming a room before bed or setting the unit to turn off later.
  • People who prefer a bladeless fan design and want an appliance that is easy to wipe clean; reviewers also found the low fan settings relatively quiet.

Real-World Use Scenarios

  • When a bedroom or home office feels chilly, use the AM09 as supplemental heat for that room; its thermostat can maintain a set temperature, and a review found its diffused mode warmed a medium-sized bedroom within minutes.
  • While working at a desk or sitting on a sofa, aim focused heat toward yourself for personal warmth instead of trying to heat the entire room.
  • Before bed, warm a bedroom to a comfortable set temperature and use the sleep timer to schedule shutoff; fan noise may be noticeable to noise-sensitive sleepers, especially at higher settings.
  • On warm days, switch to fan-only mode to circulate air in a bedroom or office; it provides airflow, not air conditioning, so it will not lower the room’s temperature like an AC unit.
  • In a room with uneven airflow or a chilly draft, use oscillation and wider, diffused airflow to spread warmth around the occupied space rather than directing it at one spot.
