The Dyson HP07 Purifier Hot + Cool is a room air purifier that also provides heating and cooling airflow, making it suitable for people who want one device for year-round comfort and air purification. It supports oscillation and can divert airflow when you want to purify without cooling.
Recommended For
- People who want one device for a small bedroom or home office that can provide supplemental heat, fan airflow, and air filtration across the year.
- People who want supplemental warmth distributed around a room rather than a heater aimed at one spot; a Tom’s Guide test found the HP07 heated a 15 × 10-foot room relatively evenly, with warmth building gradually.
- People who want a fan for personal airflow in mild weather and understand that the HP07 circulates room air rather than replacing air conditioning.
- People who value automatic air-quality monitoring, a display, and app or voice-assistant control for purification and fan settings, with the included remote available for heater controls.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- In a chilly bedroom or home office, use the HP07 as supplemental heat while you work or relax; testing found it warmed a small room evenly, though the heat builds more gradually than a direct blast from some heaters.
- On a warm day, use it to circulate air and create a breeze while sitting nearby; it functions as a fan, not an air conditioner, so it does not actively lower the room temperature.
- At bedtime, run it in Night mode to keep monitoring air quality with quieter settings and a dimmed display; if you also run the heater, expect more operating noise than in fan-only use.
- When you want air purification without a breeze blowing directly toward you, set the airflow to exit through the back; the unit can continue purifying without directing its airflow at the occupant.
- For everyday air-quality monitoring in a room, use Auto mode so the unit adjusts its operation in response to its sensor readings, then check air-quality information in the app; this is a convenience for monitoring, not a substitute for ventilation or source control.
