The new "Madden IQ" system adapts to your skill level based on your performance in the dozen of Virtual Trainer drills and adjusts the game's difficulty.

More realistic gameplay has been added with players being able to make one-handed catches, hurdles, gang tackles, and sideline catches along with mid-air collisions and the ability to choose whether to hit high or low. Branching animation also allows you to execute a new maneuver without being locked into the previous move.
