Anyone running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS on this box?

I have fedora25 running perfectly on mine, so ububtu 16 should be a breeze. I did have to download and install the firmware file for the wifi chip separately, but that was my only issue, and ubuntu is usually much better with firmware than fedora.

Question 2

I need to be able to record audio.  Does the audio combo port support audio input?  Say from a headset microphone?  Or is it only an audio out port?

Even though this question is old, I need to dispute the given answer for posterity...

Both the ECS website and the manual for the product clearly state that the audio jack is a standard combo jack ("3.5 mm jack with stereo sound and mic (combo) supports for jack detection").  These are fairly common now, and will detect and work when either headphones/line out or a mic is plugged in.

Furthermore, if it's a true combo jack as consistently described, an inexpensive Y-adapter cable will allow the use of a headphone/line out AND a mic simultaneously.  Search for "4-pin 3.5mm splitter" on newegg, since the comment filter won't allow me to provide part numbers...

What operating system does this come with?  Does it support Windows 10?

It doesn't come with an OS pre-installed. Yes, the 64 bit version of Windows 10 will run on the M-5Y10c SOC.
