Question 1

I've purchased two of these, and I cannot get either to boot.  Nothing else installed (RAM, HDD, etc). Power, no video. CPU fan turns on, I/O leads are installed correctly, DC IN connected to a 19V, 90W power adapter suggested here.  Not my first rodeo with builds but they have been all ATX until now, this is my first mini ITX build. I have a fanless case so no room for the SYS_FAN, Any ideas?

most (every) motherboard i have used needs RAM installed before it can POST or boot to any media. I never got a power supply for the board, so I never actually attempted to boot it, but I would assume it still needs at least one RAM modules installed before it will POST or boot

On the power connector is the center pin the positive +19v?

My previous answer missed the H in the charger model number. Yes the center pin is +19v. In fact I use the normal 19v (90W) HP Laptop Charger (HP Model # PPP014H-S) and it has worked well with it for a couple of months now with no issues. That HP charger fits perfectly.

What is the 12v power connector size.  Inside barrel and outside barrel. What is recommended amps?

Can it raid 0 hard drive together?

No idea about RAID... I've plugged two hard drives I had laying around, 1TB and 2TB, two 2GB SO-DIMMs, and installed Windows Server 2012. The system is reasonably fast (I expected it to be slower), works great as a home server.

what size of power port pin does it take?

ECS tech support emailed the following information:

"120W or higher is recommended.  
Recommended power jack type: Singatron 2DC1003-000211F or equivalent.  
Original ECS -TI motherboards were based on Intel refernce specification.  The power connection has remained the same."

We're not allowed to post links but if you do a search for "Singatron 2DC1003-000211F" the top result is an Intel page with more information about the appropriate adapter.

Question 6

In the specification for the CPU it says 847/807. How can I specify which CPU I get?

If you read the comments you will see all have reported as receiving the 847. As far as I know you cannot request a processor but I preferred the 847 and would have returned the board if otherwise.

does this take a 19 volt DC power adapter, 150 watt?

Yes, but you can get away with a lower wattage.

Question 8

does anyone know the screw size this board uses for the onboard wifi card and mSata cards?  they include 1 in the package even though there are 3 possible mounting holes for the 2 seperate devices (wifi card and msata).  the mSata SSD i purchased came with a screw but it was too small to use with the boards screw mounts.

I ran into the same issue.  I contacted ECS through their support website and they offered to send me some more.  It was quick and easy and I didn't have to pay for them.

Question 9

Does your board have the optional PCI-E X1 slot connector?  The NewEgg picture shows no connector (just the un-soldered holes, near the back audio jacks) while the picture on the ECS website shows one soldered in.  Obviously having the slot would be nice to add USB 3.0 for one...

To answer my own question, after getting the board: no, mine has no PCI-E X1 soldered into the board.  (No S/PDIF either). The board has a spot (36 holes) for a PCI-E X1 connector as shown on ECS's website.  It's tempting to try to solder one in but a lot of work and I don't want to risk damaging the board - and it may not even work.  I see now that I can add USB 3.0 using one of the mini-PCI slots anyway.

I used both HP laptop "brick" of 210W power and Dell brick of 160W with two 3.5" desktop drives attached. Without big hard drives, you can probably use even lower power bricks.
