Is this device compatible with All version of Windows XP,Vist,7, & 8 ?

The device comes with an install disk for XP, Visata and Win 7. However, after running the install program for Win 7 it did not work.

I looked at the driver file and it said no driver was installed. I then clicked update driver via the web and windows downloaded and installed a driver file. It works perfectly now.

Probably will work for all versions of windows since windows finds a driver and installs it very quickly. Given XP's security issues I upgraded from XP to Win 7 on an old Dell ED620 laptop and windows works perfectly.

Question 2

On a Samsung Chromebook, with no drive, how does one install the software to get this to run?  Or will it run out of the box?

I have this adapter and a Samsung Chromebook.  It was entirely plug and play for me using one of the USB ports on the Chromebook.  It immediately recognized my ethernet network connection without any additional software.

Yes, I've been using it with a Samsung Chromebook for almost 2 years, to many different networks, with absolutely no problems.

Don't know for certain but Highly unlikely, as this is an older spec (USB 2.0) and the "Type C" Connectors didn't really start becoming 'standard' until about the past year or so.

Just did a Google search on the model plus chromebook, and the manufactures's website says it is compatible; however there are a number of other adapters designed to work with chromebook/android devices that are available on newegg. This model should meet your needs.

Is this fast enough for online multiplayer gaming?

Yes, its likely as fast as or faster than your internet.  The gigabit Ethernet is useful for large file transfer within your local network, but adds little to online gaming which is limited by internet speeds.

Will it work on a Samsoung XE303C chromebook with an Exynos 5 Dual Proccessor?

I can confirm that it works on a Samsung xe303c12 a01us dec. 2012. Don't know the processor.  Turn off the wifi and use the "blue" usb port.

Does it work with the 2015 MacBook Pro?

I use this with a early 2014 Macbook Air as well as 2013 Samsung Chromebook. Both work fine. While I can't see w 100% certainty, I would very much expect it to work with your 2015 Macbook Pro.

Is this device "plug and play" or does it require drivers? I am considering for a Samsung Chromebook. Will it work?

In our experience it requires drivers for Mac; we don't use it on anything other than Mac computers.
