I have an older Mac Pro with 10.7.5, Lion. Has anyone had issues with the drivers or using this with an older version of OSX like Lion?

This dongle can support 10.7 on 5Ghz network. You need to make sure you have 5Ghz wifi before purchase.

Does this device work with Windows 8 by chance? I see it's made for Macs, but is it compatible with PC as well?

Yes on their website they include drivers for Windows 8. I am currently using it for a Windows 8.1 computer.

I have a MacBook Pro (October 2011) with IOS 10.9.5 Yosemite installed. Does the  Edidmax EW7711 AC450 have drivers available for download so that this device will enable my MacBook to connect to 802.11ac 5ghz to my Linksys WRT 1900AC Router?

I don't know about drivers for Yosemite, you would need to check their website but I did not have drivers for Maverick and so had to buy a different one and even that one, the jury is still out.

Hello, I do not have USB 2 on my Macbook Pro. Can I still use this with my USB (1) port?

I would imagine that you could, but I don't know. I only have usb 2.0.
