- Elite Cat5e Shielded Plenum is 1000ft, 24AWG, Solid Bare Copper, 4 Unshielded Twisted Pairs. Our cable is built with an overall foil shield around all four pairs and a drain wire.
- Install Cat5e shielded plenum cable in areas with air flow, in drop ceilings and between raised flooring. Plenum can also be installed in Riser rated areas; in the walls, between floors and in risers.
- Supports 1Gb (Gigabit) Ethernet and up to 350MHz at 328 Feet. Protect your network in areas with EMI (electromagnetic interference) with shielded cable. Enhanced high performance ANSI/TIA/EIA 568A compliant Cat5E FTP bulk (LAN) cables for mission critical LAN applications or future proofing your Structured Cabling Systems. These Cat5E bulk (LAN) cables are characterized to meet gigabit networking requirements at affordable prices. The Enhanced Category 5 Cable: Cat 5e plenum cable is an enhanced version of CAT 5 that adds the specifications for far end crosstalk. It was formally defined in 2001 in the TIA/EIA-568-B standard, which no longer recognizes the original CAT 5 specification. Although 1000BASE-T was designed for use with CAT 5 cable the tighter specifications associated with CAT 5e plenum cable and connectors make it an excellent choice for use with 1000BASE-T. Despite the stricter performance specifications, CAT 5e shielded cmp cable does not enable longer cable distances for Ethernet networks: cables are still limited to a maximum of 328 ft (100 m) in length (normal practice is to limit fixed horizontal cables to 90 m to allow for up to 5 m of patch cables at each end.) CAT 5e plenum cable performance characteristics and test methods are defined in TIA/EIA-568-B.2-2001.
