Yes. Works with stock windows drivers on windows XP. No driver installation required, just plug and play.

Will the work with a Fatal1ty Motherboard running windows 8?

It works with windows 8. I have used quite a few of these, mostly on windows 7. However, I used it on a asrock and gigabyte. It seems to run fine on both.
