Does this work with Windows 7?

I do not know if it works with Windows 7.  It should it is only hardware, my problem was that the computer I was trying to repair/upgrade was so old the metal prong slots from the old machines (10 yrs old +) were thinner than they are now and it would not fit.

Question 2

My computer is the Acer AX3400G-U4802 and it is the small compact tower and I will need to know if this Ethernet card is for the regular size cases or the small tower type like mine because I have tried the regular ones and they are to tall for mine?

I'm not familiar with your exact computer. It should fit okay. The best way to check is to look at the other cards that are installed. 
If the flange that holds the card to the back of the unit is the standard size, then the card should fit.  The standard flange (the metal part) size is approximately 4-1/2 inches.

The circuit board is short.  It measures 1 3/4 inches high after it is plugged in.  Just measure to see if you have clearance. If you can't get the ruler in there, then cut out a piece of cardboard 1-1/2 inches high and slide it back in the space.

Not sure if it will work with Win98 or not. I bought 2 for 2 Freenas systems and it worked/works great on one but not the other, I have to update the one it didn't work on I'm not sure if it was the system or Motherboard causing the issue. Sorry I'm not sure on Win98
