Hi Joshua, there is a switch to turn the LEDs off. Please disregard my first answer when I told you to cut the wire. It is in my sons computer and I didn't have a lot of time to look at it.

would this fit in a cooler master storm scout case? already ordered it assuming it would fit but i guess we will see O.o

assuming it is a storm scout 2, then yes, at 9 inches you should still have a solid 2 or so inches of clearance between this and your side panel. I also highly advise installing low profile ram before putting this in. Any ram with a tall stance will not make clearance under the heatsink or fan.

I really doubt it would, if it does it will be a very tight fit. It mounts sideways as you can see and the fan is about the same as the fan that's already in there and it looks like that fan is already as wide as the whole case and I'd say this sticks out close to another two inches if you count the "spikes" on the top..

In short, it likely won't fit or it'll be very very close.

It will be extremely tight if it does manage to fit, sorry to say. I have the Thor v2 white and I only get 2 inches of clearance on a 9.14" x 22.84" x 21.89" (WxHxD) case. With a case that's 6.8 inches wide it will probably either not fit or it will stick into the side panel of the case.

Will this fit in a NZXT S340? I have needed to upgrade my CPU Cooler and this is the only cooler that matches my build.

Yes, I'm using the same cooler in mine. But like most coolers of this design, you can only fill 2 ram slots if you have tall sticks.

It would be close.  The cooler stands about 6.2 inches tall.  I'm not sure what the layout of your case is, but you'll lose some space in it's overall width between the back panel and motherboard tray, the motherboard itself, etc.

I built a PC earlier this year using the T40-W.  Case was a Thermaltake Chaser, 8.4 inches wide.  The cooler comes within ~1 inch of the panel.
