Can this fan be wired to plug into a 110v outlet?

It's a case fan. You plug it into a fan connector on your motherboard (or, with an adapter, into a Molex power connector of your power supply). You do not plug it directly into a power outlet. That would probably be very bad, for the fan, for the power outlet, and for you.

How long is the power cable that usually comes with case fans?

What size case? Full, Mid, Mini tower. I've seen 40CM ~ 16" on larger cases, half that on small cases. Some mother boards locate all the headers on one side (you may need longer cables) some put fan headers all over- you can get by with short ones.

In general larger cases come with larger fans and longer power cables. Smaller case fans tend to have shorter leads.

Then this is not your fan. this is a full sized muffin fan. you need a mini muffin.

What is the thickness of the housing of this fan? And would this run on usb voltage? I need to replace the two fans in my laptop cooler. wondering if this will do the trick.

It will not run on USB power, USB power is 5V around 0.5 A. Cooler need 12V 0.2A

I see the molex power adapter in the picture. Does this item actually come with that adapter in the box? I would need that adapter to run it with my current psu/mobo

look at the other images.  You will be okay with what's in the box.  It has the motherboard plug as well as 4-PIN MOLEX pass-through adapter.
