Yes it is.  Just plug it in.  Be sure to always use two USB ports. BTW I didn't even need to install the software.  When using the adapter with other O/S like XP, Vista, and 7 I did use the software.  Installing both the "drivers and utility".  Hope this helps.

Install the software that came with the wireless device.  Once you have installed the software, plug the wireless device into a USB port on your laptop/desktop.

You can either right click or double click on the software in your systems tray, lower right hand corner of your monitor.  You should see your wireless router name.  Connect with that and you should have access to the internet.

The above assumes you have an open network so you are sure your software works, then you should use WPA2 and a strong password.

How can I get a picture of the box, cd, adapter usb cable?

Have had this unit for quite awhile now.  No need for cardboard box, CD looks like a CD.  Cable is standard USB/mini USB cable approx. 24" long.  Works well.
