The printer does not use ink. It requires a ribbon to print. I believe there was a ribbon included, but it is only good for a while, based upon tickets printed.

I did buy 2 of those and they do have the Ethernet plug ins in the back although I myself use the parallel centronics connection. I hope this helps.
