Is this the price to get the software without the virus definition subscriptions or does it include the subscription and if so, how long?

The ESET Smart Security you buy from Newegg is the full program with definitions and program updates for a year.  The subscription also doesn't expire, so if you bought two you can just add the new numbers in at the end of the first year.  They do not allow you stack multiple codes.  You have to input the new codes when the first year runs out.

Just wondering as the others....how long is this license good for? Does it have to be used immediately?

1 year from the date you activate the license NOT from when you buy it. You can activate the license anytime. I buy ESET anytime its on sale on NewEgg then just hang onto it until my current license is up and then activate it.

Question 3

I've been using Eset for years and it's the best anti-virus software on the market.  However, all the "multi PC packs" that I have purchased are only good for ONE YEAR.  Since this is MUCH MORE expensive, how long does this version remain active, as compared to the "One Year" versions?

The license lasts one year.  Multi-PC licenses are cheaper per computer as a bulk discount, similar to how many small parts manufacturers and such will give you a discount for buying a certain number of items.

This is very common with software.  You often see it with operating systems and software like Photoshop and Visual Studio as well.

Question 4

How is ESET with spyware? I see it lists anti-virus and anti-spam, but don't see a mention of spyware/malware.  Thanks.

I have been using it for two years now, and it is great. For any kind of threat, it will work, and its light.
