Frankly I bought this long time ago and do not remember.. not an expert either. I believe I plugged it in directly to the motherboard and it worked normally so this may be a clue.

Typically, the black is ground, red is either +5 or +12 volts for low or high speed and the yellow is a tachometric signal that tells the computer if the fan is actually spinning or not.

If you're asking what CFM means, then Patrik answered that already - A measurement of how much air the fan moves per minute.

If you want to know how many CFM this fan provides, the answer is 6.24 CFM according to the description.  That's a very technical answer, however.  To put it in perspective - an 80mm fan I just bought promises 25 CFM.

If you NEED a fan this small in order to replace an old 40mm fan or to squeeze one into a case that doesn't have room for a bigger one, this is the fan for you.  Otherwise, consider a larger fan.

I have the Adaptec 6405 that i got this fan for, but i did need to order some screws special with it to mount it.
I needed M2.6x12mm screws to mount it

I'd like to get a few of these, but my motherboard only has one SYS_FAN slot. What type of connector/adaptor do I need to attach these fans to the PSU?

the fan comes with with 3 connectors:
  3 pin female with corners that orient the plug to a 3 pin male conn.
  3 pin enclosed female,  and
  std 4 pin pwr cable connector
