This card won't.  You need a low-profile or low-profile ready graphics card which will include the smaller bracket(s) needed for a slim desktop case.  EVGA has the newly release GT730 you should check out, it would work for that size case.

I would recommend that you contact evga and ask tech support. I only run PCIe 2.0. It's a great card, but I can't advise you whether it will work in a PCIe 1.0 slot. I suspect not..

I do not know about it being good enough for minecraft, but it works with an Intel Core. It has not had any issues with the multimedia content I work with, though I have not played any computer games with it.

Would this be a good upgrade from a EVGA GTX Geforce 260 GTX 512mb video card or should I go with the GT 630?

IMHO and after doing some research, I concluded that this card is similar enough (in real world performance) to the 630 that I would not spend a single dolar more to get the 630. I would only get the 630 if it is the exact same price, and if the ammount of RAM the 630 has is comparable.
However! that was not the driving force behind my purchase of this one. I bought it because of its physical profile size. This is one of the few cards that take up a single card slot (which is important in my configuration).
I also brought it because it is EVGA. Unfortunately it is not one of their higher end products. eVGA will bend over backwards for you if you buy their high end products. That was enough to earn brand loyalty from me.

can you connect a vga monitor using a dvi to vga adapter to this video card?

Yes, but beware of how large the adapter you use is, there's not space between the two DVI ports on this card.

The answer is yes.  It's backwards compatible if I remember right.  But if you have an 8600 GT you might want to look at something with some more boost on the game side of things since I'm guessing "etw" is a game (could be wrong since it's probably an older game).  Also if you're still on an Intel core 2 you might want to consider an entire system upgrade if possible (not judging).

Yes, because of the 1GB memory capacity and economical price. This video card supports DVI and HDMI monitors as well.  Has worked very well for us watching online video content and gaming.

Will this card support a dual monitor setup at WQHD (1440p / 2560 x 1440). The monitors are both dual link DVI. I've read reviews saying it would push two high resolution monitors through DVI and that's what sets it apart from the GT 610. However, how would this video card support both monitors when it only has two DVI ports. 2 dual link DVI monitors would require 4 ports, or am I doing the math wrong?

Thanks, Martin. I can confirm that the dual link DVI connection works. I have the video card connected to one QHD monitor through dual link DVI, and one 1080p monitor through HDMI.

I was doing the math wrong cause I stupidly thought that a single high resolution dual link DVI monitor require two output signals. My mistake. They only require one output per monitor, so this card should support two high resolution dual link DVI monitors as it has two dual link DVI ports. Others have mentioned in reviews that it supports up to two high resolution displays.

Question 10

Has anyone used this card for 3D viewing? If so what compatible glasses were used? And third how do the connect to the active shutter glasses if card is in case?

We used it with our Samsung 3d TV. It works. The glasses depend on your TV/monitor. Our Samsung has active 3d, so we had to buy the shutter glasses.
