okay so i got this card and it was really great at first and everything was going fine for about an hour, then my computer just randomly shut off while i was playing skyrim, ive had this card for maybe 2-3 weeks and whenever i get into a session of gaming about 1 hour to maybe a hour 30 my computer just shuts off, no warning no shut down screen, nothing just straight off. Im not very techy so i have no idea what is wrong, the only thing i can think of is that my power supply cant handle the power draw of the new card. Can anyone help me? do i need a new power supply or am i completely off?

It sounds like one of two things. Power supply or heat. These cards produce a massive amount of heat and if your build doesn't provide proper internal cooling, your bios could be shutting itself off due to a thermal event. The more likely cause however, is power supply. To run this card, I would recommend at least a 600w power supply just to be safe. Bigger is always better. Just buy a new PSU and see if the problem goes away. Then you'll know that it's nothing else more serious. If it's still happening after a new power supply, open up your case and put a desk fan blowing straight at your board. This will tell you if you need to address some heat issues. Good luck.

Hello, with the specs you provided for your machine, I am afraid that the power supply is not able to support this graphics card.  With a card like this, I would suggest at least a 500w power supply at the very minimum.  This card uses about 140w under full load, so although you may boot up with this card okay, there is a chance you may encounter issues during gameplay.   Personally, I would recommend a 650w or more power supply just to give you some extra overhead power.  Hope this helps.

Will a 6 pin pci e straight from my power supply work without having to use the adapter?

Yes, if your power supply has one or more 6 pin pcie plugs they will work correctly. You may also use a power adapter to the flat 4 pin connector if you do not have the pcie plug on your existing power supply, but I would recommend using the one from the power supply of it is available.

so I have a 700 w power supply but it only has 21 amp on a +12 volt rail, is this card not going to work with my power supply? other wise can anyone suggest a card that my power supply can handle, im in dire need of an upgrade, my current card is a NAVIDIA GeForce GTS 250

Are you sure the Power supply only has one +12 rail? I have this card on a ten year old 600watt power supply with dual 22a rails (+12v1 22amp & +12v2 22amp). Sometimes its +12v(a) and +12v(b)

Hello, so i have the  EVGA SuperClocked 660 (the one with no fans displaying like this one) and i was wondering if i can SLI this one with the one I currently have. Basically my question is if i can SLI different manufacturer names? Any Suggestions?

You can SLI different manufacturers as long as they are both the same series (gtx660) and the clock speeds are very close together, you can use tuning tools like evga precision or afterburner to set the cards to the same clock speeds. It is always easier to use the same manufacturer and get two cards with the model numbers (03G-P4-2667-KR).

I'm just wondering if this products supports "PCI Express 3.0 x16" because it says it supports "PCI Express 3.0"?

it will support pcie 3.0 x16 as long as you have a pcie 3.0 slot and that your cpu supports pcie 3.0  otherwise it will run in pcie 2.0 x16 so on intel 1155 you need at least an i5 to support pcie 3.0 and on intel 1150 you need at least the Pentium for pcie 3.0 support and for amd you need fm2+ cpu kaveri for pcie 3.0 support hope this helps.

Is It possible To hook up This Card With Triple Monitors without affecting game performance to much? I don't plan to use all three monitors for games, just the center one, but If its possible to do so I will.

The card supports up to 4 monitors. I'm not sure how well things would run with 3 monitors but if you're just running one monitor in a game at full res you should be fine. I run battlefield 4 on ultra at 1440p and get between 60-90fps using this card

The specs say 9.5" but it measures about 9" inside the case. The extra 1/2" must be the expansion slot portion.

Can this run on the gigabyte motherboard ga-78lmt-s2?

As long as it has a PCI 2.0 or 3.O slot, then it should be fine. I googled search your motherboard specifications and it looks good to me. Just so you know, just cause it is an AMD motherboard doesn't necessary mean that you need to have an AMD video card.  Only the CPU selection is limited.

What type of pin connector does this need? i can't seem to find it in the specs tab

I think it uses Two of the four pin connectors. It comes with some adapters though, so as long as you have a regular PSU you should be fine. I didnt have to buy anything extra to make it work. Hope that helps!
