Absolutely not. You will be dealing with a plastic cooling shroud, pure PCB and connectors. Exercise extra care. Take care not to dent your radiator fins slightly as the aluminum is quite pliable. =)

I didn't have to do that and I don't recommend doing that because if you do then you have to get all the air out of system and I don't think that will be easy

Just got the card, does the fan attached to the radiator wait until the system reaches a certain temp or always on? Mine is currently not running.

The radiator fan turned on at a low speed automatically when I plugged my hybrid card in straight out of the box. (EVGA RTX 2070 SUPER XC HYBRID GAMING) The Precision X software is extremely confusing but there is a setting to set the fan speed manually or "auto". It's extremely confusing to figure out how to consistently load any specific settings on startup but make sure you learn how to do that.

If I were to use this card and a cpu aio, would it look awkward in my build with all the hoses running around? Do the hoses get in the way of subtle lighting effects or obstruct certain parts of the case?  Building in a meshify C with a kraken x63 (280 mm front mounted) already installed.

It should look fine if the other system hoses are also black. It's just a 120mm radiator, so you'll have more options of where you can mount it and you can rotate the radiator in different ways so that the hoses lay out different ways. I did see an example that looked awkward but it seems like the builder could have tinkered a little more. A 120mm CPU radiator will give you more options. The one issue with how the card looks is that the top side of the card is uncovered PCB.

I would also say that the Hybrid is overkill, I'm running into other issues with overclocking it before the GPU really starts heating up.
