Will this EVGA card work in my HP Pavilion Media Center m8307c Desktop PC. The system board is a Asus IPIBL-LB with a PCI Express x16 expansion slot?

I can't speak for your exact PC but it works in my HP Pavillion Elite e9120f Desktop (circa ~2009). My original fan started to get noisy. I found out it was easier just to replace the whole board.

can my son play mind craft with this?  And will it work in a Dell OptiPlex 745 with Pentium D processor?

A Pentium D and this card, you are well within Minecraft's minimum requirements.

As for the Dell and installation, I personally have had hang-ups when installing GPUs in OptiPlexs, but that's not saying that this won't work. The Hardware should fit just fine. Use the smaller faceplate (requires a screwdriver and driver to remove the stand-offs) and remove the VGA port. I believe that there is an accessory plate for that VGA connector if you wish to use it.

The hang up is getting the board to recognize the new hardware and installing the driver. Just follow the instructions with the hardware and be sure to get your system specs absolutely correct when looking for the correct NVIDIA driver.

Is this video card compatible with a HP a1700n desktop computer?

I am not familiar with the motherboard layout of the HP a1700n desktop.  However, look at your user's manual (or look online at the HP website) to see if the motherboard is PCI Express 2.0 ready.  If it is and there is space to insert a card in the PCI Express 2.0 slot on the motherboard, then, most likely, it will work just fine.  There are two different metal plates that fit on the back of the computer so this should not be a problem.  If your motherboard has a plug in video card, then it must first be removed.  If the video is built in the motherboard, then you will connect your monitor through the EVGA video card.  Doing so should automatically turn off the onboard video.  Good Luck!

It comes with the one shown only. I am happy with it. I actually use a flat screen TV for the monitor and the video is great.

can you run two monitors with this card?

Realistically you can, but it will struggle with any labor intensive programs. If you're looking to use it for internet surfing, music, Microsoft office, and other simple programs, it would be fine. I use mine in a work computer and run ArcGIS mapping and basic internet browsers and office programs and it runs well enough. There are far better, faster video cards out there for very slightly more money though.

I have full size desk top will this fit???

Google "PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot" and then look at the images compared to what is inside your computer.  Chances are, it will, but just do this to be sure.  Personally, even though I bought several of these, I wish that I hadn't.  Every single one, after about a year, would make a loud sound from the fan.  The card performed well, just that the fan, over time, would get really annoyingly noisy.   Choose a card that simply has a heatsink without the fan in my opinion.

Will this work with XP Pro?

XP Pro is a type of software all you need to know if this will work with your hard ware. I have been running it with vista for some time now and have no problems. So if your hard ware is compatible , XP Pro should not have an effect with it.

Does this come with the low profile hardware so I can fit it into a small form factor case?

It's tiny in its self, had no trouble stuffing it into a mini atx, it's only like 5.5" in length. Not sure what you're meaning behind low profile.

No, this video card doesn't have any PSU (power supply unit) connectors. It runs directly through the motherboard.

Would like to add hdmi to my hp a6000 running windows 7 (64bit) with 5 GB memory. 250 watt PSU. Would this be compatible with my system? system # FQ596AA-ABA

I looked up the speccs for your pc, and it appears this video card is compatible with your computer. I would recommend getting a little stronger power supply when you change it out too.
