will both 8 pin and the 6 pin connect on it at once?

Yes. The pins are removable and can be exchanged between 8 and 6 pin ports. Make sure you even need the adapter. The only purpose of the PowerLink adapter is to accommodate graphics cards in situations where there isn't enough space to plug in the power cables. I have the huge Cosmos II for a chassis, but I also have large fans on the side panel and I wasn't abe to shut the side panel without the power cables mashing into the fans. This is where the PowerLink adapter had some use, it allowed me to plug the power cables in on the side that faces my tower's front end.

Only supports GTX 1080, 1070, 1060, 980 Titan X, 980 Ti, 960, and 950 models. All ICX cards are compatible with powerlink.

Actually it does include a 6 pin connector that can be swapped out for one of the 8 pin connectors. So if your graphics card had one 8 pin and one 6 pin connector it would be compatible. I would go to the evga website or forums and double check to make sure there aren't any problems with the shape of that card that would keep it from working

Yes.  It just manages the cables. Just make sure your case is large enough.

I have a EVGA GTC-970 and this doesn't look it will fit.... the power connectors on top are too far in.... What a disappointment unless there is a different version?

I do not ,but the ones that plug into the card are movable so they may fit. I check my 980 ti classified.

The EVGA PowerLink supports all NVIDIA Founders Edition and all EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics cards. However, it is noted that it may not work with all graphics cards, and there is no specific mention of compatibility with the Gigabyte GTX 1080 Windforce.

It will work for any card that has either two 8-pin connectors or one 8 and one 6-pin. Some 2080 Tis have three power connectors and this won't cover all three.
