Is the I/O cover included? In the newegg pictures the stinger lacks it's I/O cover but in the spec pictures there is an I/O cover. Thanks!

Yes It does include a rear I/O cover. If you look at any M/B pictures the only time you see it is when they show a picture of the contents of the box.

can you put an i3 processor in this 1151 socket?

If it is an 1151-socketed Skylake i3 such as the 6100 or 6320, yes. If you have a specific i3 cpu you want to move to a new motherboard you'll need to look up your i3's socket model and choose a motherboard with the same socket.

I really don't suggest buying an overclockable motherboard to run an i3 on. Moreover, this board is super overpriced and lacks many Skylake features, although I am certainly making good use of the monstrous 8-USB bay on the i/o panel. I should also mention the included software didn't work and I'm not even sure if the sound quality is decent enough. If there's anything you must have in this MOBO, i'd wait for a sale.

I dont understand how I can install m.2 ssd on this board. I assume that you use the E key? Can somebody explain this for me.

The board does not support M.2 SSD despite the marketing team saying it does. They important notice they forgot to mention is that it's key-e for WIfi/Bluetooth adapter only. There are some adapters out there, but they are going to take up a lot of space on your motherboard (the whole point of mini-itx ruined).

It has a support for a module, but the device itself is not included. Pretty much useless.

If you're referring to on-board ports, there are 2 when you do not count the designated CPU Fan.

P.S. I've never heard them called "headers" before, so I hope this is what you're talking about

Yes, this is exactly the same CPU that I have in my build.

With the IO shield cover installed, does it still allow for GPU installation for GPU's with backplates? It looks as though it would interfere with a GPU/backplate in the PCIE slot.

In my experience it does not. I had to remove the metal cover to allow my Gigabyte Wind force 970 with a back-plate to be installed.
