Is this surge protector compatible with 110V and 220V? I've seen some websites affirming that.

Absolutely NO to 220v! From the "instructions" and warranty included with the device: • Do not use this unit in wet, oily, outdoor or high temperature conditions. • Use this unit only with 110/120 Volt AC power. Do not use an extension cord. When plugging this unit into a 2-prong receptacle, always use a grounding adapter and attach the ground wire to the screw on the outlet cover

when I go to Ireland can this be plugged into a power adapter and used with my equiptment? I travel now without one but like the idea of a surge protector.

I do not see a problem but if your that concerned , you might want to check the manufacturer`s webpage.
