Question 1

BenQ BSH01 or BSL01—which should I get for a heavy monitor?

Accepted Answer

Choose the BSH01 if your monitor weighs more than 24.2 lb, is larger than 40 inches, or you want the included desk reinforcement plate. It supports monitors up to 44 lb and 45 inches. The BSL01 is the lighter-duty option for monitors within its 24.2 lb and 40-inch limits; BenQ positions it for everyday setups that do not need the BSH series’ higher capacity.

Question 2

BenQ BSH01 vs. Ergotron LX: which fits a heavier monitor?

Accepted Answer

The BSH01 has the higher stated weight capacity: up to 44 lb, compared with 25 lb for the Ergotron LX. Choose the BSH01 if your monitor exceeds the LX’s limit or if the included reinforcement plate suits your desk. The LX is a fit for monitors within its 7–25 lb range; Ergotron lists a 10-year warranty.

Question 3

Is the BenQ BSH01 different from the white BSH02?

Accepted Answer

Their specifications are the same; the main difference is color. Choose the black BSH01 for a black or dark setup, and the white BSH02 if you want the arm to match a light-colored setup.

Question 4

Can I use it on a thin or glass desk?

Accepted Answer

The product includes a steel reinforcement plate intended to help protect thin, glass, and other fragile tabletops from scratches and deformation. That does not confirm compatibility with every desk; check that the desktop and mounting area can safely support the arm and monitor.

Question 5

Will the arm fit my desk edge?

Accepted Answer

The provided specifications identify it as a tabletop mount but do not state the supported desk-thickness or edge-clearance range. Measure your desk and confirm the arm’s mounting limits before ordering, especially if the desk has a thick edge, frame, or limited overhang.

Question 6

Is it designed to support a monitor without sagging?

Accepted Answer

The BSH01 has a gas spring tested for 25,000 cycles and is rated for monitors weighing 4–44 lb. Keep the monitor within that weight range; the product information does not guarantee performance outside its stated limits.

Question 7

Will this monitor arm fit my monitor?

Accepted Answer

It is listed for screens up to 45 inches and monitors weighing 4–44 lb, with 75 × 75 mm or 100 × 100 mm VESA mounting holes. Check your monitor’s weight without its stand and its VESA pattern before buying.

Question 8

Will the BSH01 stay stable when I type?

Accepted Answer

Some BSH01 owners describe it as solid with little or no wobble while typing, but those are individual reports. Desk stability can also depend on the desk and installation.

Question 9

Is there a drawback to the included desk-protection plate?

Accepted Answer

One Reddit user said they found the extra desk-protection pad bulky and chose not to use it. The product information says the plate is intended to protect thin, glass, or fragile tabletops, so whether it is a drawback depends on your desk and installation needs.

Question 10

Is the BSH01 worth buying at around $100?

Accepted Answer

A BSH01 owner who considered its roughly $100 price later recommended it, citing their experience with the arm. That is an individual opinion, not a broad value consensus; compare its price with alternatives and weigh stability, adjustment, and desk-protection needs.
