The FiiO KA17 is a flagship USB DAC and headphone amplifier that brings mid-to-high-end digital audio player circuitry to a compact dongle. Dual ESS ES9069Q DACs with fourth-generation 32-bit HyperStream technology achieve a 130dB dynamic range and -120dB THD+N, while a 16-core XMOS XU316 USB processor supports PCM 768kHz/32-bit, DSD512, and full MQA decoding.
It was the first USB dongle to use a THX AAA 78+ headphone amplifier circuit, with eight op-amps in a four-channel, fully balanced configuration. Flip the dedicated Desktop Mode switch and connect external power to the orange POWER IN port, and the KA17 unleashes up to 650mW + 650mW of balanced power.
