Is there any way to have a restore after power loss option?

I have purchased this unit my self but unfortunately I don't have access to it.  I would like try what I am about to suggest to you but cant.

The only way I know how to do what you ask is to go into the bios settings when the system boots.  Go thru the option in the bios and look for power settings or something like "restore on power loss".  Every computer bios is a bit different so it may or may not have this ability.

To get into the bios when the system start, is most often the F2 key or the delete key.

Question 2

What is the watts of the power supply? I don't see anything about the power supply at all in the description or specs.

I would have to double-check, but i think around 3.5A, so I would recommend a 90W 19v power supply (for car or replacement).  I do remember when I checked it was the same rating as the many 19v supplies I already have.

My mother uses her PC for the basics, email, word processing viewing photos not much else. her monitor and keyboard are fine--jher PC is slow and out of date. Would this unit serve her needs? i dont see any reference to RAM and so on.

These things are amazing! I do a lot of installs for people and this is an awesome replacement for any old dusty tower. I usually put 4 Gb of memory in them and a 64 Gb SSD drive. Windows 7 will boot from powered off to on in less than twenty seconds. The graphics are plenty for the average user. Super quiet...like its not there, plenty of USB ports. If you purchase this unit and install using a USB External DVD drive, be sure to use one of the USB ports in the rear. The front 3.0 wont be available until you install the chip set driver for those ports.

Question 4

How would this device perform streaming youtube videos if set up with an SSD and 4GB of ram? Would it be able to keep up or would I just be watching "buffering..." every 10 seconds?

First of all you should know that your only option is Windows7. No linux driver enabling hardware accereration is available for GMA 3650. Then it is unable to deliver 1080p. It simply downscales 1080 to 900. However, no buffering or stuttering has been noticed so far. In my case it runs XBMC o Windows7 with 2GB RAM. Please be aware that I haven't installed any other software including antivirus. If you install anything else running background services it will affect performance dramatically no matter how much memory you have installed.

It comes with an integrated CPU (soldered onto the motherboard, non upgradeable.)

Are there any pictures of the inside (as in installing an SSD or memory)?  There seem to be none here, or on the foxconn site (which doesn't even mention having to install disk or memory).

When you open the case (very simple with 4 screws) The Hard drive and memory slots are very visible and accessible. The meaning of "barebone" means no hdd or memory..but even the manual has little detail.
The memory slot is a standard laptop type. There is a small bracket for the hard drive which can be unscrewed to secure the sides of the hard drive to it. Setup takes about 5-10 minutes.
