Absolutely, either Win7 32 or 64 bit works, but it will only run in single channel memory access mode.

Thats all it has. Honestly, this is a pain to assemble but once complete, you shouldnt have to open it again. The sata cables that come with it are too short for anything, had to change both.

Q: what all comes in this?

This barebone PC includes (to my knowledge) an AMD E-350 APU, which has an integrated GPU, a mini-ITX motherboard with the AMD A45 (Hudston D1) northbridge chipset, and a 150w power supply. After reading some reviews, it also comes with sata cables, but they are apparently short in length. This does NOT include RAM, an OS, Hard Drive, or an Optical Drive.

how many molex and sata from power supply?

Accepted Answer

There are two SATA power connectors, one 4 pin molex (potentially for a SD card reader), one 24 pin power connector for the mother board, and one 4 pin power connector to the mother board.  The 24 and 4 pin power connector are already attached in the barebones MOBO.

Beware when you buy memories NOT to buy Gskill parts, they will not fit if you have an optical drive installed because the heat sinks are too tall.  Try to find memories without heat sinks similar to the Mushkin parts if you want an optical drive.

Avoid installing a board in the PCI slot, it tends to block the power supply fan air flow.

Other than that, this is a great little box.  I own one like this AMD box, and four of the Intel version of this barebones I've had for about 5 years.

Question 2

Just got this and cannot make a standard optical drive fit. Does this computer require a slim line optical drive? Everything on the page suggests it does not, but it appears to be the case.

Do you understand that this bezel has a swing-down DVD/CD door and that an industry-standard optical drive? The drive installs behind the front bezel which you have to remove. The finished depth of the optical drive will make it possible to push the eject button on the front bezel which in turn pushes the one on the front of the optical drive. When the drive tray ejects it pushes the optical drive door open on the front of the case bezel. I hope this helped.

How does it not come with an optical drive yet comes with a software disk?

You may want either a DVD or a BR drive.  You may also want them to come in a different color, or come from a different manufacturer (I chose LiteOn).  Either can be had for <$50.
