Does this support an optical drive?

No. I would recommend you really consider how often you use such a drive. If it's once a month or less, maybe just to install old software, consider grabbing an external USB optical drive. If you use optical drives often enough to necessitate it being installed into the computer case, then you'll need to look for another case, probably a cheaper quality one due to industry trends as of mid 2019

Question 2

Just read a comment about a SSD not fitting in the back of the case, is this true? My OS runs off a Kingston 250gb SSD, and I have a WD Black I use for extras. Any problem with this case and this combo?

You can always fit in front of the PSU. The bracket behind the CPU socket are designed for regular SSD so if you have an extra thick one it might not fit. (perhaps the intel one). And you need to have a strait power and SATA connector.

Question 3

can you put fans in the front where the filter is ?

Technically, I believe you could. There's just slots to put screws through behind the filter and the filter itself is recessed into the panel. However, I don't know why you would. Your airflow would be even more constricted and no longer be filtered. If you're really needing that much space as to need to remove the filter, I would suggest just get the Mini TG that's a bit bigger or even the Meshify C for airflow. Feel free to ask further questions and/or clarify what your need is.

will a 280mm aio fit in the front panel?

It will, but you will need to take out the removable PSU cover in the front, and maybe the hard drive tray underneath. At the very least, you'll have to push it back a bit, which means that you lose some length for your PSU (I couldn't fit it at all with my 180mm EVGA PSU).

Just orderd the case but will this case work with a ASRock Z270 Pro4 motherboard? Made the clumsy decision of purchasing this without looking at that and it slipped my mind

Hi. This is a micro ATX (mATX) case. The motherboard you referred to is an ATX case. You’ll need to either get a full ATX case if you want to use that mobo, or you could get an mATX mobo if you want to use this case.

Although not officially supported, is it possible to top-mount a 280mm radiator?

I can't answer your question with certainty, but I can tell you that I installed a 240mm radiator in the top of this case and there about 1.75" on either end that is free.  If you are running a rear exhaust fan this will obviously eat into that room.  It seems possible to me, but I just can't tell you for sure.  Good luck!

It looks like the Z270 Pro4 is ATX which is a normal size motherboard. This case is only for microATX or mini ITX motherboards. There is a micro ATX version of that motherboard if you change your mind.

Unfortunately if you have the Asrock X470 Taichi board it will not fit in this case as that is an ATX board and the biggest this case supports is Micro ATX (mATX).  You will need the Mid tower version of the case which can be found in the link I provided below, hope this helps!

will an Asus Strix 1080 fit with an H100i mounted in the front of the case?
